COSRX is a Korean skincare brand known for its quality yet minimal ingredients. Ensuring that their products stay gentle and safe on your skin no matter the condition, hence their slogan "Expecting Tomorrow".
The problem with COSRX's current packaging design are the inconsistencies and needed improvements to visual cues. Despite going for a more pharmaceutical design language, all the products put together look like they are from different brands.
The objective of this case study is to redesign COSRX's current packaging design and to develop a more systematic and categorical version to help its products look more visually cohesive.
The outcome is a systemized visual identity system for both the bottles and outer box packaging design. A notable difference is the logo consistently located on top to highlight the brand. The body features vector graphics inspired by each collection with an associated color. Keeping in line COSRX's newer products, the ingredients are placed right in the middle of the packaging.
The packaging design now incorporates the name of the skincare collection. This helps to offer additional information to the customer on the kind of product being used other than solely associating with the color.
